Advance Presort Service is a fully automated presort house
committed to the preparation and sortation of bar-coded mail.
Our state-of-the-art Multi-line Optical Character Readers
(MLOCR) and Barcode Sorters (BCS) provide you the ultimate
in speed and efficiency in bar-coding and presorting. Remote
video encoding equipment is utilized to process mail that
is rejected by the automated equipment. As new automated equipment
enters the marketplace, you will see it first at APS.
Automation Specialty Crew
To ensure maximum efficiency, our state-of-the-art equipment
is maintained by a full-time Automation Specialty Crew. This
team of professionals is responsible for the maintenance,
up-keep, design and modification of our automated systems.
Internal Quality Control Unit
Headed by a former Postal Inspector, APS' Internal Quality
Control Unit monitors all phases of operation. The only team
like it in the industry, our internal Quality Control Unit
is responsible for:
- Accuracy of mail distribution, correctness of labeling and routing of mail
- Automation scheme maintenance and zip code accuracy and correction
- Revenue protection
- Adherence to Postal Service quality control requirements
- Timely submission of accurate mailing statements
